
Soulgasm at South Street Seaport’s Pier 16

This shot needed more post-processing than usual, because I was shooting at dusk without a flash. Bumping up the exposure introduced more noise than I like in my color photos, but split-toning the image made the noise look more natural, like film grain. That’s a trick I learned a while back purely by accident: monochrome is more forgiving of certain sins than color is.
