I thought I had shared this photo here a few years ago, but I didn’t find it in my archives. Perhaps it’s one I thought about sharing and never got around to it. I have always liked it, because of the obvious humor of the kid trying to look "cool" with icing from his birthday cake deliberately smeared on his nose. Applying my favorite LR preset nicely darkens the darker, less important areas around the birthday boy, which draws the viewer’s eye more quickly to his face.
Yesterday I received an email confirming my entries for this year’s Art of Photography Show have been received. The judge is going to look at the entries on 7 August, and soon after I’ll know whether any of my entries have been selected for the show. Once I process whatever news I receive, I’ll share it.
