We ride the New York City subway to move through our lives. This is what I look like to you, you look like to me when we do. We are beautiful in our diversity. This ongoing series, started in 2008, celebrates that beauty.
There is a saying among photographers: “The best camera is the one you have with you.” Some of the photos in this series were made with my phone’s camera, because that is often the most discrete, readily available camera I have on me.
