A train passes overhead on elevated train tracks.

March

9 March 2020. Bronx (New York), USA.

In these (more) uncertain (than ever) times it can be soothing to still see signs from what life was like before things got (more) scary (than they usually are). Most of NYC’s subway lines are below ground, but a few lines like the Number 2 seen here still run on elevated tracks. It has been a month since I have walked by it as I was doing the day I made the photo, but from my living room I can still see the trains running. At some point I will get back to walking regularly by and riding on this train. For now I will continue to be grateful for the ability to shelter-in-place and work from home.
